Newcomer Quincy Thrower

Saturday, November 21st 2009. Miami Shores, FL- The Johnson & Wales Men's Basketball team welcomed the College of the Bahamas, yet sent them home with a loss, the Wildcats won  80-68.

The pace was set by the Wildcats from the jump start, Sr. David Tucker (Miami, FL) showed up to play in a big way finishing the game with 26pts  and 14rbs. The Caribos didn't have a chance against the cooperative efforts of the JWU's line up. Tucker and Jr. Antonio Burgos (New York, NY) 10pts and 10 rbs both had double doubles.  Newcomer, Fr. Quincy Thrower (L.A. CA), had 17pt and 6rbs, and will surely be a key player this first season in Conference play. Coach Graham is excited about the dynamics of the returners and recruits, JWU will be making some noise this season.

The Wildcats will be on the road for the next 3 games, and will return for 2 more home games this year December 18th vs Apprentice College and December 30th vs Bowdoin College.
