Fr. Craig Wong and Jr. Carlos Montilla Honored by The Sun Conference

Wildcat Fr. Craig Wong (Davie, FL) was named The Sun Conference Freshman of The Year.  Wong finished the year averaging just under 15 ppg (14.76) and having a 3pt shooting% of 33.  On February 12 against Ave Maria University, Wong scored a season high 34, 3 shy of the single game school record.

Along with Wong The Sun Conference honored fellow Wildcat Jr. Carlos Montilla (Cocoa, FL), naming him 2nd Team All-TSC.  Montilla finished the season averaging a double-double a game, 15 ppg and 10 rpg.  Montilla posted his season high of 32 against Clearwater College of December 17th.  He also set The Sun Conference single game recorded for rebounds with 26 against Fisher College on December 11th.

Coach David Graham had this to say about Wong and Montilla's accomplishments, "I am very proud of both Craig and Carlos.  They worked hard on their games in the off-season and have worked hard all season to get better each day.  It has paid off for them both.  This is a great honor for them especially when these awards were voted on by the opposing coaches in the Sun Conference.  The entire Wildcat basketball program is proud of these fine young men."

Both Wong and Montilla return next year to the much improved Wildcat Basketball team.
