Cats Take down DeVry

Cats Take down DeVry

The Wildcats (2-1) played this evening for the second game of the JWU's 1st annual Veteran's Day Game. Sr. Eric Dounn lead the cats to a victory over DeVry University, 96-39.

Dounn scored 14 pts tonight, had 2 assists and 3 steals, setting the pace for the win. Newcomer Derrell Davis pulled down 11 rbs, the leading contributer for the Cats astonishing 67 rbs to DeVry's 35 rbs.

"Each guy has been working hard so this was a great night to get everyone some quality playing time.  I really enjoyed watching the guys take pride in their defense tonight.   We need to improve in that area each day to prepare for Sun Conference play.  I really think our crowd is taking the guys' intensity to another level as well.   We want "The Cat" to be the toughest place to play in the conference".

The Cats have 2 additional games this week, the first on the road to play Florida Christian College on Thursday at 7pm. This Saturday they will be back in Miami to play Barry University at 2pm.
