Johnson & Wales Men's Basketball came prepared to play cross-town rivals the Buccaneers of Barry University (NCAA, DII) this afternoon, the close game final result came down to the last 60 seconds. JWU came out on the short-end 70-62.
The Wildcats Jr. Myles Smith played and extraordinary game shooting 100% of his free-throws, 6-8 from the field and 5-6 from the 3pt line for a total of 29 pts. Fr. Ralph Lin found himself in foul trouble early in the 2nd half, but it didn't stop him from dominating the boards, he finished with 8rbs.
The team will be on the road this Tuesday to play Clearwater College at 7pm. Their next home game will be their first The Sun Conference game against Northwood University November 28, 7pm. Prior to that, JWU will spend part of their holiday break in California where they will play in the Menlo College Classic, November 23 & 24.
