NORTH MIAMI, Fla. (Nov. 16, 2017) – Three Wildcats reached double-figures in scoring in a 71-65 Sun Conference loss for Johnson & Wales (0-4, 0-1 TSC) to Coastal Georgia (5-2, 1-1 TSC) on Thursday evening.

Nick Preradovic led all Wildcats with 18 points, shooting 6-of-12 from the floor and 4-of-9 from the 3-point arc. Closely behind Preradovic was Isa Brandon, who registered 16 points on 6-of-8 shooting. The native of Chesterfield, England, also notched game-high is rebounds (13) and steals (4) for his second double-double of the season. Antonio Ruby added 13 points off 4-of-7 shooting and grabbed six rebounds versus the Mariners.

The back-and-forth contest produced seven lead changes and five ties, including a 65-65 score with 2:07 left in the contest. However, CGU went on a 6-0 run to close out the game and claim the victory.

The Wildcats shot 46.2 percent on the night (24-of-52) and drained nine treys. Coastal Georgia finished the night shooting 44.6 percent from the floor (25-of-56) and connected on eight 3-pointers. The Mariners held a slight edge on the glass, collecting 35 rebounds to JWU's 31.  

JWU will next host the Thomas Night Hawks on Saturday, Nov. 18. Tipoff is set for 4:00 p.m. ET.
