– The Johnson & Wales (Fla.) men's basketball team (0-2) completed its season-opening road trip to Arizona with a 105-63 loss at Embry Riddle (AZ) (1-0) on Tuesday evening.

The Wildcats finished the contest shooting 34.0 percent from the floor and 25.0 percent from 3-point range. JWU had a solid night from the free-throw line, going 20-of-28 (71.4 percent).

Senior Jacknelson Joseph led the Wildcats in scoring for the second-straight contest, scoring 12 points versus the Eagles. The native of Miami also paced JWU with five rebounds as the Wildcats totaled 30 on the night. Sophomore Jordan Martin added nine points while juniors Willem Vermylen and Sidney Alcena contributed eight points apiece.

ERMU had five players score in double-figures while shooting 55.9 percent from the floor and 63.0 percent from beyond the arc. The Eagles outrebounded the Wildcats, 40-30 while scoring 24 points off 22 JWU turnovers.

The Wildcats return to North Miami to host Florida National in the team's home opener on November 6. The game will be part of a doubleheader with the JWU women's team and is expected to start at 8:00 p.m.
