Wildcats finish 2nd

 

 

The event was held at the Creekside Golf Club in Salem, Oregon which is the site of the National Championship this coming May.

We had a great tournament and feel confident that we will be back in May to take a shot at winning the tournament!

 



The Men of Johnson & Wales University experienced great success in their first NAIA tournament this year, the team of five finished 2nd of 20 teams in the 2011 NAIA Fall Preview co-hosted by Corban University and the Cascade Collegiate Conference. The team shot a total of 595, only 8 shots away from Texas Wesleyan University, who won the tournament.

JWU's Jr. Jason Harrisl ead the Cats in the end, he finished tied for 6th, with +3 over par. Jr. Jordan Meltzer tied for 9th place with with +4. Rounding out the team of 5, Collin Brennan finished 1 stroke behind Meltzer with 148. Head Coach, Randy Weber, "We had a great tournament and feel confident we will be back in May to take a shot at winning the Championship."
The NAIA Championships will be played on the same course this Spring, but next for the Cats is October 9th. They will be competing in the Shark Invitational hosted by Nova Southeastern University.
