@JWUMgolfNM Ranked No. 13 in the Nation in NAIA Men’s Golf Coaches’ Preseason Poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Aug. 24, 2018) – The 2018 National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA)  Preseason Men's Golf Coaches' Top 25 Poll was released on Friday with Johnson & Wales picked at No. 13 to start the year.

Coming off its 18th-consecutive appearance in the NAIA National Championship and a national ranking of tied for 12th, JWU enters its first year under Head Coach Danny Randolph with competition against some of the nation's best.

JWU (160-51) closed out the season having produced a season stroke average of 291.20 over 15 events. The Wildcats finished fourth in the 2018 TSC Men's Golf Championship, marking the team's ninth Top-5 finish in 2017-18. During the 2017-2018 campaign, JWU amassed 19 individual top-10 finishes with 11 Top-5 results and two medalists.

JWU open up action at the Doc Glimmer Invitational in Farmingdale, N.Y. Play begins on Saturday, September 8, from Bethpage State Park.
