Men’s Golf Finishes 10th at 2018 NSU Shark Invitational

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. (Oct. 9, 2018)
– The Johnson & Wales men's golf team shot a 66-over (320-306-304, 930) to place 10th at the 2018 NSU Shark Invitational (Oct. 8-9).

The three-round, 16-team tournament was held at PGA National's Champions Course (par 72, 6,853 yards).

The Wildcats were led by senior Cody Booska, who shot a 10-over, 226 (79-73-74) to finish tied for 16th. Junior Gustav Tegel placed tied for 28th with a 13-over, 229 (82-74-73). Sophomore Jens Bendiksen finished the tournament with a 17-over, 233 (76-79-78) to place tied for 39th followed by a 74th (tied)-place finish by junior Matt Maloney (83-82-79, 244). Junior Tim Bender rounded out the team scoring with a 30-over (84-80-81, 246) to tie for 81st. Senior George Haggerty, playing as an individual, finished tied for 88th with a 34-over, 250 (84-81-85).

The Wildcats will travel to Lake Wales, Florida, to participate in the 25th Annual Webber Fall Invitational October 13-15.
