The second game of the JWU Soccer double header with Northwood University was played entirely in the rain. The game was extremely physical for both teams, first half the teams were head to head until NU scored with 34 seconds left in the first half. Second half the Seahawks put three balls in the back of the net to win the game, 4-0.
The Cats defense is lead by sweeper So. Chris Reyes (Tampa, FL) and Fr. Angel Carrillo (Sugarland, TX). Goalkeeper, Carrillo, had seven saves, "We're gonna push through, this is just the start for us." The Seahawks took were able to capitalize on a last minute scoring spree during the last 5 minutes in the game. "The first 60 minutes we were really organized, we dominated at large part of the game. The dam broke for us when our fitness faltered in the end." Head Coach Bobby Lennon commented.
The Wildcats will be on the road this Wednesday against the Hatters of Stetson University in Deland, FL at 7pm and will return to North Miami for their second home game against SCAD September 4th, 2010 at 7pm.
