Wildcats Wrap Up Aggie Invitational; Ready for TSC Championships

GREENSBORO, N.C. (April 15, 2018)
– The Johnson & Wales track & field team wrapped up competition at the North Carolina A&T Aggie Invitational this past weekend in preparation for the upcoming Sun Conference Track & Field Championships April 21-22.

On the women's side, Breiana Brown notched a PR in the 100m with a time of 13.80. She also notched PRs in the 200m (29.14) and in the 400m (107.13). Her time in the 400m was also good enough to qualify for the TSC Championships. Kezia Belle registered a 14.06 in the 100m while running a 28.63 in the 200m and a TSC qualifying time of 109.98 in the 400m. Latoya Jennings notched a pair of TSC qualifying marks in both the 200m (27.28) and the 400m (108.75).

Sharell Nairn posted a PR in the Long Jump with a mark of 4.39m. Taylor Deveaux notched a pair of TSC qualifying marks in the Shot Put (9.37m) and the Discus (31.24m) with her score in the Discus resulting in a PR. Devauex also scored a 24.93m mark in the Javelin.

On the men's side, Kyre Kelly competed in both the 400m and the 800m. The native of Ruskin, Florida, posted a 53.44 in the 400m and a 2:04.31 in the 800m.

The Wildcats will next compete in this year's TSC Championships April 21-22 in Miramar, Florida.
