Deveaux Places Second in Javelin at TSC Outdoor Track & Field Championships

MIRAMAR, Fla. (April 23, 2018)
– JWU's Taylor Deveaux registered a second-place finish in the Women's Javelin to highlight the Johnson & Wales track and field team's performance at this year Sun Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Miramar, Florida, this past weekend.

Deveaux posted a PR of 32.39m in the Javelin to earn eight points for the Wildcats. The junior also competed in Women's Discus and Shot Put. In the Discus, Deveaux placed ninth with a mark of 23.39m. She also placed ninth in the Shot Put with a mark of 9.52m.

Also competing on the women's side were Latoya Jennings and Kezia Belle. Jennings registered a time of 27.28 in the 200m while posting a mark of 1:05.79 in the 400m. Belle ran a 1:07.28 in the 400m.

For the men, Kyre Kelly notched a PR in the 800m with a time of 1:59.37. His mark placed the JWU senior in sixth overall to earn the Wildcats three points.
