Cats Beat Webber
The Lady Wildcats picked up a tough victory against the Webber International University Saturday in North Miami at The Wildcat Center, after a Friday night loss against other conference members Warner University. JWU pulled away from the Lady Warriors late in the fourth quarter to secure an 82-76 victory. This brings them 2-4 in The Sun Conference.
Kristina Bridges (FR) led all scorers with 16 points in 17 minutes of action. Bridges three point shooting helped the Cats fight off the Warriors fourth quarter rally. Myia Russell (SO) lead all players with 9 nine total rbs, pulling down 3 offensive rbs along the way. The team shot 42 percent from the field, and outscored the Lady Warriors 40 to 33 in the 2nd half of action Saturday afternoon's game.
After the game, Myia Russell was quoted as saying, "We feel good about winning a tough game, but we still need to work on our free throws." They will resume action this Saturday, January 28th at Northwood in West Palm, FL.
