Last night's game against Keiser University served as "We Back Pat" was dedicated to support the Pat Summit Foundation and its search for a cure of Alzheimer's Disease. JWU Women's basketball played against #2 in the sun conference Keiser University. It was a hard fought battled as the lady wildcats fell short 67-62. The Lady Wildcats started out on fire ending the first quarter up by 4 points. However, In the second quarter Keiser University went on a 22-6 run over the final seven minutes of the quarter and took a 40-29 advantage into halftime. The Lady Wildcats were able to recover and come out winning both the 3rd and 4th quarter. The lady wildcats were able to go on a 9-1 run in the 4th quarter to cut Keiser's lead to 57-55. Late in the game the lady wildcats found themselves down by 1 point with 25 seconds left in the 4th quarter, after stealing the inbounds pass following a Keiser timeout the lady wildcats saw two opportunities to take the lead and win the game but missed their opportunity on two missed shots. The Lady Wildcats were led by Guard Diamond Williams with 22 points 3 rebounds 2 assist and 4 steals, and Bevin Mays 19 points and 5 rebounds.
The Lady Wildcats will be on the road for their next two games playing at Florida Memorial January 21st and at St. Thomas University January 28th. Our Lady Wildcats will be back home in the Wildcat Center February 2nd against Warner University.
