JWU’s Tianna Ayulo Named Sun Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week

NORTH MIAMI, Fla. (Nov. 6, 2017) – Freshman Tianna Ayulo has been named the Sun Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the week ending Nov. 5, the league announced on Monday.

Ayulo is averaging 21.2 points-per-game through JWU's first five games of the season. The native of Hollywood, Florida, leads the team in both scoring and rebounding, having scored 19-or-more points in each game played and averaging 8.4 rebounds-per-game this season. Ayulo has helped the Lady Wildcats to a 3-2 start this season with four of the team's first five game being played away from the Wildcat Center (2-2 neutral). Ayulo's offensive production has helped JUW average 81.2 points-per-game. Shooting 54.7 percent from the floor, Ayulo has shot better-than 50 percent in every game this season.

Ayulo has recorded two double-doubles this season, including a 22-point, 11 rebound performance versus Voorhees College in the team's home opener last Wednesday.

JWU will host Coastal Georgia on Thursday, Nov. 16. Tipoff is set for 5:30 p.m.
