Wildcats Finish Fifth at Sand Shark Invitational

OKATIE, S.C. (Oct. 2, 2018)
– The Johnson & Wales women's golf team recorded a fifth-place finish at the 2018 Sand Shark Invitational in Okatie, South Carolina.

The two-day tournament was hosted by the USCB Sand Sharks and played at the Oldfield Golf Club (par 72, 5,887 yards).

The Wildcats (364-368-382, 1,114) were led by freshman Georgia Page, who finished tied for 15th. The native of Sydney, Australia, shot a 41-over, 257 (84-85-88) for her season-best finish. Senior Kaylee Wells posted a 22nd-place finish (+66) followed by senior Megan LeBlanc (+72), who finished 23rd. Junior Kaitlyn Byrd (24th at +78) and sophomore Camilla ter Vehn (25th at +85) round out the JWU scores.

The Wildcats will next head to Cohutta, Georgia, for the Nob North Roadrunner Invitational beginning Monday, October 22.
