Coach Juan Carlos "JC" Gonzalez begins his second season with the Johnson & Wales University women's soccer program.  Gonzalez has served as the boy’s head soccer coach at Varela High School since 2008.  He was named Miami Herald Dade County Boys HS Coach of the Year in 2009.  He also guided Varela to the State Championship game in 2011 against Cypress Bay HS.

Before becoming the boy’s coach at Varela, Gonzalez served as the girls Head Coach and Director of Soccer at Archbishop Carroll HS from 2002-2008.  And in 2006 was named Girls High School Coach of the Year.

“JC Gonzalez brings a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience to our growing soccer program,” said Dobrzanski. “He is dedicated to help build this new program and we are excited to welcome him to JWU.”

“I am thankful for the opportunity, I am excited to be a part of the JWU soccer program,” said Gonzalez.
