The Lady Wildcats soccer team (6-6-3, TSC 3-5-1) has made history, qualifying for the Sun Conference tournament for the first time in program history.  The tournament has eluded the Lady Wildcats since the program started in 2009, and the past two seasons the team has been one spot away from qualifying as the top eight teams qualify and they have finished ninth.

This season the Lady Wildcats recorded the most points they ever had in conference play, racking up 10 points.  They recorded key wins against Ave Maria (5-2), Southeastern (2-1) and Warner University (2-0) and drew their game against Florida Memorial (1-1 in double overtime).

"This is something we have been working for since I arrived in 2010," commented Head Coach Eric Dobrzanski.  "Our players have done a fantastic job staying focused all season and really focusing on Sun Conference play.  It's been a process over the past four seasons and our players were committed to that process.   We scheduled a tougher out of conference schedule this season, just so we were tested come conference play, and I really feel that approach worked.  We had very tough conference games that were tight and we stuck together and pulled off important wins.  At Ave Maria we were tied 1-1 at halftime and fell behind 2-1 five minutes into the second half, and then we scored four unanswered goals.  We were down 1-0 at halftime to Southeastern on the road, scored two second half goals to get the win.  Then at home against Warner we were tied 0-0 at half, then came out and scored twice to win 2-0.  Making the tournament was a complete team effort, different players stepped up at different times and I couldn't be more proud of this group.  Now we get to work and start preparing for our Nov. 7th game."
