@JWUWSoccerNM: Five Lady Wildcats Named Academic All-Conference

The Lady Wildcats closed out a historic 2013 season with news of five women's soccer players being named Academic All-Conference.  The honor goes to student-athletes that are sophomores or above and carry a GPA of 3.5 or higher.

The five players are led by senior Captain Suzy Duffy (Woburn, MA.), with the four others being all sophomores:

Emma Vezza (Daytona Beach, Fla.), Emma is majoring in Sports Entertainment & Event Management.

Cailyn Rizzo (Cape Coral, Fla./Bishop Verot HS), Cailyn is majoring in Culinary.

Aurora Lian (Cali, Colombia/Colegio Colombo Britanico), Aurora is majoring in Sports Entertainment & Event Management.

Sarah Waters (Orange Lake, Fla./PK Yonge HS), Sarah is majoring in Culinary.

Suzy Duffy (Woburn, Mass./Woburn HS), Suzy will graduate in May with a Bachelors Degree in Marketing.  This is Suzy's second time being named Academic All-Conference, she was also named an NAIA Scholar Athlete in 2012.

"We are extremely proud of these five individuals," commented Head Coach Eric Dobrzanski.  "And I cannot say enough about each of them as people, they commit so much to this program and do a fantastic job balancing being an athlete and being incredible students as well.  We take academics very serious here and to have 5 players being honored is a great feeling.  This is an honor they will carry with them for the rest of their lives and should be proud of what they accomplished."
