@JWUWSoccerNM Announces 2017 Recruiting Class

After a 2016 campaign that saw the Lady Wildcats women's soccer team just fall short of qualifying for the Sun Conference Tournament, the team will look to some new faces to add to their roster.  Head Coach Eric Dobrzanski and his coaching staff have taken the next step in furthering the team's current and future success of the women's soccer program with the announcement of the 2017 recruiting class which consists of twelve players.  Nine of the twelve recruits are from the state of Florida, with seven being transfers and five incoming freshmen.  "Our goal with this class was to bring in key players that could come in and contribute right away and players that would give us some depth and grow into roles in the future," commented Head Coach Eric Dobrzanski.  "I really cannot explain how excited we are with how this class came together, it is a great group of players and people.  We checked off all of our needs with a talented group, I think we cannot only compete in the Sun Conference right away, but we have solidified a great future for this program moving forward.  I cannot thank these incoming players and their families enough for choosing JWU and believing in what we are doing here."

The Lady Wildcats will return twelve players from the 2016 season, as the team graduated eight.  The 2016 season was one that saw the Lady Wildcats fall one win short of qualifying for the Sun Conference Tournament.  "We are very comfortable with the balance within our team and roster.  We know we have players here now and coming in that can help us achieve our goals.  We feel secure knowing that we have depth, and with the addition of these twelve players, it will provide a competitive environment for all of our players to thrive and continue to get better every day," added Coach Dobrzanski.  "This 2017 recruiting class insures that we will continue to grow as a program and bring us that much closer to reaching our goals of competing at the top of the Sun Conference. We are expecting big things from each of these players."
