Goalkeepers Ashley Buchanan and Chelsie Randolph each made key saves to earn the combined shutout.
"I thought this was a very good start for us," commented Head Coach Eric Dobrzanski. "We wanted to be more decisive in the final third of the field and I think we did that. Aside from the goals, we got so many very good performances. I thought our three midfielders really controlled the tempo and did a great job moving the ball and switching the point of attack. I am very pleased by the overall performance, so many players stepped up and I know as a team we got better tonight. We just want to get better every day and prepare ourselves for conference play."
The Lady Wildcats stay on the road for a match against NAIA opponent Middle Georgia State University on Monday August 21st, kickoff is set for 12pm.
