JWU Savannah Jackson Named NAIA All-America Honorable Mention Selection

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Dec. 4, 2018) -- The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced the 2018 Women's Soccer All-America Teams on Tuesday which included Johnson & Wales (Fla.) sophomore Savannah Jackson.

Jackson, an NAIA All-America honorable mention selection, started in all 17 games for the Wildcats. The native of Winter Haven, Florida, set the single-season school records for goals (28) and points (62) in 2018. She also added a career-high six assists. Jackson tallied 11 multiple-goal games, including four hat tricks. She registered eight game-winning goals, averaging 0.47 game-winners-per-contest (No. 4 in the nation). Jackson ranked No. 4 in the nation in total points, total game-winning goals, points-per-game (3.65) and goals-per-contest (1.65). Her averages in points and goals also ranked No. 2 in the Sun Conference. Jackson scored at least one goal in 13 contests and notched a point in all but two outings.

With the honor, Jackson becomes the first member of the JWU women's soccer program to be recognized as an NAIA All-American.
