Eric Dobrzanski is entering his third season as the Women's Head Coach at Johnson & Wales University.  In his short time as the Wildcats coach the program has reached new heights and is looking to continue it's growing success.  Dobrzanski took over a new program that had gone 0-14 and scored 1 goal in it's previous season.  In his first season guiding the young program the team earned it's first points, as they won their first game ever when they defeated the College of the Bahamas, 6-0 and when they tied Clearwater Christian College 0-0.  Along with winning it's first game the team saw Goalkeeper Elizabeth Haley named to the All-Conference Second Team, another first for the program.  The team also took a jump in total goals scored, 14.

In 2011, Coach Dobrzanski introduced his very first recruiting class to JWU.  This class, along with many of the returners from the previous year allowed the program to grow even more and see added success.  The starting line up was made up of 8 freshman and proved to be a group to fear in the future.  Not only did the team win more games then the previous season, they won their first Sun Conference game when they defeated University of South Carolina-Beaufort 7-0.  They did not stop there, they went on to beat Webber International University and Warner University, to end the season 3-7 in conference play.  That mark found the team ranked 9th in the conference, which is the highest it has ever been.  Overall the team finished with a 4-12 record, with tough losses to conference opponents Ave Maria 1-0 and Southeastern University 2-1 in overtime.  The team tallied 20 goals, with forwards Darcilyn Butala and Orniela Pitt leading the team with 5 goals each.  Goalkeeper Elizabeth Haley led the Sun Conference in saves, for the second consecutive year.  The team also lowered their goals against total from 76 goals a year ago to 53 goals in 2011.  Along with those stats, the program found itself in the middle of a 3 game win streak (USC-Beaufort, Webber International, Warner), the longest in women's soccer history.

The overall growth of the program in 2011 concluded when Coach Dobrzanski was named Sun Conference Coach of the Year.  An honor that Embry Riddle University coach Samantha Baggett-Bohon had claimed two years in a row.  Before Coach Bohon, former Northwood University coach Ty Brewer also claimed the award two years in a row.  This was the first time since 2004 that the award was given to a coach that finished the season below .500 since Jeff Horner at St. Thomas University, as they finished 5-10-2 and 5-5-2 in conference play.  This was the second time Coach Dobrzanski received Coach of the Year honors, as he was named GISA South Region Coach of the Year in 2009 when he was the boys head coach at Brookwood High School (Thomasville, Ga.).

Prior to arriving in North Miami, Dobrzanski served as the Associate Head Coach for both the men's and women's programs at Thomas University (Thomasville, Ga.) for three seasons.  As the women's recruiting coordinator at TU, the program continued to grow and in his final season as a Night Hawk the team finished with an 8-8-1 record, the best record in four seasons.  Along with Dobrzanski's position at Thomas, he also was the Director of Coaching for Top of Florida Soccer Club in Tallahassee, Fla. and the boys head coach at Brookwood High School for three seasons.  At Brookwood, Dobrzanski compiled a 29-7 overall record with two South Region titles and two State Final Four appearances.

Currently, Dobrzanski also serves as the Women's Head Coach of the Cayman Islands U-20 National Team.  In October 2011 the team played in the first round of U-20 World Cup Qualifying in Suriname.  The team won it's first game 4-0 over the host Suriname, then dropped a heart breaker to Trinidad and Tobago 1-0 as Trinidad scored in the 93rd minute.  The two results have allowed the team to advance to the next round of group play, they will face Jamaica, Haiti and the Dominican Republic.

Dobrzanski is a California native and played at St. Thomas University in Miami Gardens, Fla. before transferring to Florida State University to complete his degree.  Along with playing at STU, Dobrzanski spent two seasons with the Palm Beach Pumas of the PDL.  He holds a USSF National Coaching License and a NSCAA Goalkeepers License.

Dobrzanski currently resides in Weston, Fla. with his wife.
