Volleyball Loses Midweek Contest at St. Thomas, 3-0

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (Nov. 1, 2017) – Playing in their road contest, the Johnson & Wales volleyball team (7-22, 0-15 TSC) fell to the St. Thomas Bobcats, 3-0 (25-10, 25-15, 25-12), on Wednesday evening.

The Lady Wildcats were led by Savannah Swenson, who finished the night with seven kills.  Bianca Torres collected a team-high 13 digs, while Anissa Giammona notched a squad-best 13 assists on the night.

JWU was unable to overcome 15 attack errors versus the Bobcats. St. Thomas hit .298 for the match, while the Lady Wildcats registered a hitting percentage of .000. Sharell Nairn registered two service aces for JWU.

The Lady Wildcats will close out the 2017 season at home this Saturday, hosting Southeastern University. Game time is set for 2:00 p.m. from the Wildcat Center
