Georgia Page and Cody Booska Named JWU Athletics Wildcats of the Week

NORTH MIAMI, Fla. (March 11, 2019) – Women's golf freshman Georgia Page and men's golf senior Cody Booska have been named JWU Athletics Wildcats of the Week for the week ending March 10, the Athletic Department announced on Monday.

The Wildcats of the Week honor is a weekly award given to the top performing student-athlete among the 11 intercollegiate sports sponsored at JWU. Awarded to the top male and female student-athlete each week by the JWU Athletic Department, those named the Wildcat of the Week will become eligible to be named the Sergio's Player of the Month for the corresponding month. 

Page, a freshman from Sydney, Australia, led the Wildcats with a 39th-place finish at the Seminole State Spring Break Classic last week. The first-year Wildcat is the team leader in season-stroke average (91.06) and has appeared in all 16 rounds JWU has competed in. In six total events this season, Page has led the Wildcats on the individual leaderboard five times.  

Booska, a senior from Turners Falls, Massachusetts, led the Wildcats with a 2-over, 146, to tie for 10th on the individual leaderboard at the Sand Shark Classic last week. He recorded the sixth Top-10 finish of the season and 14th of his career. With a first-round par, Booska (72-74, 146) has registered par or under par in 13 of the 26 total rounds played this season. On the year, Booska has recorded a season-stroke average of 72.23 and is ranked No. 18 by GolfStat.

Honorable mention: Nick Fantasia (men's golf) – Placed tied for 19th; Matt Maloney (men's golf) – Finished tied for 25th; Gustav Tegel (men's golf) – Finished tied for 25th.
