Cody Booska Named JWU Athletics Wildcat of the Week

NORTH MIAMI, Fla. (May 6, 2019) – Men's golf senior Cody Booska has been named JWU Athletics Wildcat of the Week for the week ending May 5, the Athletic Department announced on Monday.

The Wildcats of the Week honor is a weekly award given to the top performing student-athlete among the 11 intercollegiate sports sponsored at JWU. Awarded to the top male and female student-athlete each week by the JWU Athletic Department, those named the Wildcat of the Week will become eligible to be named the Sergio's Player of the Month for the corresponding month.

Booska, a senior from Turners Falls, Massachusetts, posted his third Top-5 finish of the season, finishing third at the 2019 Sun Conference Men's Golf Championships at the Lake Jovita Country Club in Dade City, Florida, last week. Booska shot a 3-under 213 to help guide the Wildcats to a fifth-place finish in this year's championships. A 2019 All-Sun Conference selection, Booska carded a 213, shooting under par in each of the first two rounds (71-68-74). His score lowered his season stroke average to 72.39. With two round under par, the senior Wildcat has now recorded 18 rounds at par or under this season. Booska is currently ranked No. 19 by GolfStat.
