Olivia Patrow Named JWU Athletics Wildcat of the Week (Week 5)

NORTH MIAMI, Fla. (September 23, 2018) – Women's golfer Olivia Patrow has been named JWU Athletics Wildcat of the Week for the week ending September 22 announced on Monday.

The Wildcats of the Week honor is a weekly award given to the top performing student-athlete among the 11 intercollegiate sports sponsored at JWU. Awarded to the top male and female student-athlete each week by the JWU Athletic Department, those named the Wildcat of the Week will become eligible to be named the Sergio's Player of the Month for the corresponding month. 

Patrow, a freshman from East Stroudsburg, Pa, guided the Wildcats to a fourth-place finish at this year's Sand Shark Invitational hosted by USCB. The two-day, three-round tournament was held at the Oldfield Country Club (5,887 yards, par 72), featuring 11 teams, including eight teams from The Sun Conference and six teams ranked in the NAIA Preseason Top 25. Patrow carded an 8-over 224 (73-76-75) to finish tied for fifth among the field of 69. The Top-5 finish is currently the highest finish in Patrow's JWU career. On the year, Patrow has registered a season stroke average of 80.33.

Honorable mention: Savannah Jackson (women's soccer) – Registered seven goals in tow games for the WIldcats; Sharell Nairn (volleyball) – Averaged 4.12 kills-per-set with an attack percentage of .342; Tyler Einsmann (Women's Soccer) – Recorded three assists this past week; Vanessa Orozco (volleyball) – Finished last week, with 65 assists (8.12 per set) for the Wildcats to go with five service aces and 11 digs.
