JWU Men’s and Women’s Soccer Recognized for Excellence in the Classroom

NORTH MIAMI, Fla. (October 8, 2019) – The Johnson & Wales (Fla.) men's and women's soccer team have been recognized by the United Soccer Coaches Association earning the organization's 2018-19 College Team Academic Award as announced on October 3.

A total of 995 soccer teams (346 men, 649 women) from the NCAA Division I, Division II, Division II, NAIA, NCCAA and Junior College ranks posted a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher, thereby earning the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the 2018-19 academic year.

Of that number, 258 schools had both their men's and women's programs recognized. JWU was one of those institutions with men's soccer earning a 3.36 team GPA and women's soccer recording a 3.55
