Dante Pace and Olivia Patrow Named JWU Athletics Wildcats of the Week (Week 11)

NORTH MIAMI, Fla. (November 4, 2019) – Men's basketball freshman Dante Pace and women's golf freshman Olivia Patrow have been named JWU Athletics Wildcats of the Week for the week ending November 3 announced on Monday.

The Wildcats of the Week honor is a weekly award given to the top-performing student-athlete among the 11 intercollegiate sports sponsored at JWU. Awarded to the top male and female student-athlete each week by the JWU Athletic Department, those named the Wildcat of the Week will become eligible to be named the Sergio's Player of the Month for the corresponding month. 

Pace, a freshman guard, began his JWU career averaging 17.5 points in two games as the Wildcats tipped off the 2019-20 season at the Florida College Classic this past weekend. The native of Miami, Florida, began the season, scoring 15 points on 4-of-13 shooting from 3-point range and 3-of-3 shooting from the charity stripe at Florida College. Pace also grabbed five boards, dished out four assists and record two blocks versus the Falcons. A day later, Pace notched the first 20-point game of his collegiate career, scoring 20 points on 7-of-18 shooting (6-of-14 from downtown) versus Cumberland (Tenn.). Pace also registered four rebound and two assists in 36 minutes of action. On the year, Pace is shooting 33.3 percent (11-of-33) from the floor and has converted 10-of-27 (37.0 percent) from beyond the arc. He is currently No. 5 in the nation in 3-pointers made per game (5.00).

Patrow, a freshman, led JWU at the 2019 Dave Adamonis Sr Invitational where the first-year Wildcat shot a 234 (+21) to place seventh on the individual leaderboard. On the year, Patrow has posted a season stroke average of 79.45 in four total events (11 rounds) and has record two Top-10 finishes as well as a Top-5 finish.
