JWU Athletics Recognizes 2020 Graduating Class

JWU Athletics Recognizes 2020 Graduating Class

NORTH MIAMI, Fla. (May 28, 2020) -- Over the past few months, terms like "flatten the curve", "social distancing", "shelter-in-place", and "the new norm" have all become common in society's vocabulary. For the Class of 2020, the "new norm" is anything but normal. Many high schools, colleges, and universities became ghost towns in late March, as classrooms moved online.

The virtual classroom has led way to virtual graduation ceremonies for many while some have been postponed until further notice. For the student-athletes at Johnson & Wales (Fla.), the 2020 commencement ceremony at the North Miami campus was scheduled for Saturday, May 23, but due to the on-going pandemic, has been postponed.

That said, JWU Athletics would like to recognize its 2020 graduates. Twenty-three Wildcats earned their degrees this year with seven of JWU's athletics programs represented in this year's graduating class. Men's soccer led all programs with eight graduates.

This year's graduating class features NAIA Scholar-Athletes, All-Sun Conference honorees, and Sun Conference Champions.
