NORTH MIAMI (Nov. 29, 2017) – The JWU men's basketball program (1-6, 1-1 TSC) returns to action this Thursday, hosting the No. 11-ranked Southeastern Fire (6-1, 2-0 TSC) in Sun Conference basketball as part of a doubleheader with the women at the Wildcat Center. Tipoff is slated for 8:00 p.m. ET.
The Wildcats are coming off a tough loss to Edward Waters on Nov. 24 (67-65) and will be looking snap a two-game losing skid. JWU is 1-1 in conference action having defeated Thomas (Ga.), 68-55, in the team's last Sun Conference contest. The Wildcats are led by Nick Preradovic, who enters this week's action, averaging 14.1 points-per-game. He leads the team in 3-point field goals made (25) and is No. 2 in nation the in 3-pointers-per-game (4.57). Also scoring in double-figures in Isa Brandon, who is posting 11.4 points-per-game while averaging a double-double with 10.0 rebounds-per-contest. Brandon currently ranks No. 9 in total rebounds-per-game and in No. 2 in offensive boards with a 4.57 per game average. Gino Fils-Aime (10.6 ppg) and Antonio Ruby (10.3 ppg) round out the team's double-digit scorers.
