NORTH MIAMI, Fla. (Jan. 5, 2019)
– The Johnson & Wales (Fla.) men's basketball team (0-14, 0-7 TSC) fell to the Keiser Seahawks (7-10, 3-4 TSC), 70-63, on Saturday afternoon from the Wildcat Center.

The Wildcats were led by freshman Dwayne Adams, who ended the contest with 15 points on 6-of-13 shooting. The native of Miami hit 3-of-6 shot from beyond the arc while dishing out a team-high six assists and recording a game-high three steals. Also scoring in double-figures was junior Michael Stuart, who added 14 points on 4-of-10 shooting, including three treys. Senior David Joachim led the Wildcats in rebounding, posting six boards versus the Seahawks.

JWU finished the afternoon shooting 22-of-52 from the floor (42.3 percent) and 12-of-33 from 3-point range (36.4 percent). KU made 51.9 percent of its shots from the floor (27-of-52) and converted 44.4 percent from downtown (8-of-18). The Seahawks outrebounded the Wildcats, 35-24, and held an 8-5 edge on the offensive glass.  

The Wildcats will next travel to Lake Wales, Florida, to take on Warner on Thursday, January 10. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m.
