Men’s Basketball Handed 69-52 Loss at Keiser

– The Johnson & Wales (Fla.) men's basketball team (2-21, 2-14 TSC) fell to the Keiser Seahawks (14-12, 10-6 TSC), 69-52, on Saturday afternoon from Massimino Court.

The Wildcats were led by senior Jacknelson Joseph, who scored a game-high 19 points on 7-of-13 shooting from the floor, including a 5-of-10 performance from 3-point range. The Miami native also registered three boards, two assists, a blocked shot, and a steal. Joining Joseph in double-digit scoring was Dwayne Adams, who contributed 16 points on 6-of-12 shooting from the floor and was a perfect 4-of-4 from the free-throw line. The first-year Wildcat grabbed a team-high five boards and dished out a game-high five assists.

The Wildcats ended the contest shooting 34.5 percent from the floor (20-of-58) and was 8-of-32 from 3-point range (25.0 percent). The Seahawks made 26-of-53 attempts from the floor (49.1 percent) and were 53.8 percent from 3-point range (7-of-13). KU held a 45-23 advantage on the glass, holding an 11-5 edge in offensive boards. The Wildcats forced 20 KU turnovers in the game, resulting in 20 points for JWU.

The Wildcats will next travel to Babson Park, Florida, to face the Webber International Warriors on Thursday, February 14. Game time is slated for 7:30 p.m.
