Wildcats Drop 90-62 Decision at Webber International

– The Johnson & Wales men's basketball team (2-22, 2-15 TSC) dropped a 90-62 decision at Webber International (13-16, 4-13 TSC) on Thursday evening.

JWU was led by freshman Dwayne Adams, who registered a team-high 17 points on 6-of-17 shooting. The native of Miami hit on 3-of-5 attempts from 3-point range. Joining Adams in double-digit scoring was sophomore Jordan Martin, who added 13 points on 6-of-10 shooting from the floor.

The Wildcats ended the night shooting 35.3 percent from the floor (24-of-68) and were 9-of-34 from 3-point land (26.5 percent). The Warriors finished the contest, shooting 47.8 percent from the floor (33-of-69) and hit on 12-of-29 attempts for downtown (41.4 percent). WIU held a 57-27 advantage in rebounding including a 17-7 edge on the offensive glass.

The Wildcats will close out the 2018-19 season on Saturday, February 16, as the Warner Royals visit the Wildcat Center. Game time is slated for 4:00 p.m. Prior to the contest, JWU will honor seniors Jacknelson Joseph and David Joachim, who will be playing in the final contest of their JWU careers.
