Men’s Basketball Drops 71-65 Decision to Coastal Georgia

NORTH MIAMI, Fla. (December 5, 2019)
– The Johnson & Wales (Fla.) men's basketball team (2-6, 0-3 TSC) dropped a 71-65 decision to the Coastal Georgia Mariners (6-7, 1-3 TSC) on Thursday evening.

JWU was led sophomore Kevin Rostamian who notched 15 points and 17 rebounds for his second double-double as a Wildcat. The native of Weston, Florida, also collected three blocked shots on the night. Freshmen Alex Doane and Dante Pace each posted 12 points versus the Mariners while sophomore Tristan Stephens scored 10 points and registered a game-high seven steals.  

JWU finished the night shooting 25-of-62 from the floor (40.3 percent) and converted 36.0 percent from 3-point range (9-of-25). CCG shot 41.0 percent from the floor (25-of-61) and was 5-of-19 (26.3 percent) from beyond the arc. The Wildcats were out-rebounded by the Mariners, 44-37.

JWU will host the Thomas Night Hawks on Saturday, December 7. Game time is set for 4:00 p.m.
