Coach David Graham has been the coach of the men's basketball program since 1999.   He served as Director of Athletics from 2003-2015. Prior to assuming that role he was the Director of Student Activities.

Coach Graham started the men's basketball team in 1999. He has developed the men's team into a quality NAIA program after competing in the USCCA for six seasons. His 2002-03 squad won the USCAA National Championship. The Wildcats joined the NAIA's The Sun Conference in 2009-2010.  The Wildcats have qualified for the conference tournament each year.    Under his direction the Wildcats have produced seven USCAA, three USCAA Academic All-Americans several All Sun Conference players and two NAIA Academic All-Americans.

Graham's basketball background is extensive. Beginning at West Warwick High School he earned first-team All-League his junior and senior year. He was named 2nd Team All-State his senior year. He finished his high school career as the 3rd all-time leading scorer in school history with 1442 points in 3 years.

Coach Graham began his collegiate career as a guard at the Community College of Rhode Island where he started for two NJCAA D1 tournament qualifiers (51-9) in 2 years. He was co-captain as a sophomore where he averaged 14.3ppg and shot 45% on threes. At UNC-Pembroke he was a member of the winningest team in school history his junior year when the team went 27-5. He was captain of the Braves team his senior season when they went 19-9 and lost in the regional playoffs.

After being a counselor and coach at multiple NCAA D1 and JUCO basketball camps, Graham started his own camp “David Graham Basketball School” in his hometown of West Warwick before moving to JWU-North Miami to start the intramural, recreation and varsity athletics program.

As the Director of Athletics Graham was the visionary of the North Miami Athletic department. He was responsible for the development of the Athletics Department including the addition of all the current sports that JWU North Miami offers, becoming a full member of the NAIA and the addition of a 35,000 square foot Wildcat Center which opened in December 2011. He also led the move to The Sun Conference in 2009-2010.

"Athletics and Campus Recreation are essential parts of the collegiate experience. It creates spirit and pride on campus that you cannot quantify -you just feel it.  Our goal is to continue building this program to heights that all of our faculty, staff, students and alumni can be proud of.    I look forward to the continued growth and improvement our athletic programs" said Coach Graham.

Coach Graham’s wife Nicole is the International Student Advisor at the North Miami Campus. They have two daughters.
