MELBOURNE, Fla. (Feb. 6, 2019)
– The Johnson & Wales (Fla.) men's golf team teed off its spring schedule with a sixth-place finish at this year's Winter Titan Invitational (February 4-5) hosted by Eastern Florida State.

The two-day, three-round tournament was held at the Suntree Country Club (par 72, 6,953 yards) and featured 13 teams, including Sun Conference foes Keiser, Webber International, and Southeastern.

The Wildcats (309-299-298, 906) were led by senior Cody Booska (75-72-71, 218), who placed tied for seventh, shooting a 2-over. It marked the fifth Top-10 finish of the season for the native of Turners Falls, Massachusetts, and the 13th of his career. Junior Tim Bender placed tied for 21st with a 9-over par (79-71-75, 225) followed by sophomore Jens Bendiksen with a 16-over (77-78-77, 232). Juniors Gustav Tegel (tied for 46th [78-80-75, 233]) and Matt Maloney (tied for 60th [79-78-82]) rounded out the JWU leaderboard.

JWU will next head to Dade City, Florida, to take part in the Saint Leo Invitational February 25-26 at the Lake Jovita Country Club.
