INNISBROOK, Fla. (October 1, 2019) – The Johnson & Wales (Fla.) men's golf team placed 11th at this year's USCB Innisbrook Invitational on Tuesday.
The two-day, three-round tournament took place on the Innisbrook Resort's Copperhead Course (par 71, 7,015 yards), featuring 19 teams and 100 participants.
Leading JWU (301-302-311, 914) was freshman Jack Tarrington, who posted a 12-over 225 (72-77-76) to place tied for 26th on the individual leaderboard. Junior Jens Bendiksen finished tied for 44 along with senior Gustav Tegel, who each registered a 17-over 230. Senior Jared Silva (+21) placed tied for 67th followed by senior Matt Maloney (+23), who tied for 72nd. Playing as an individual, freshman George Berglund shot 14-over (227) to tie for 32nd.
The Wildcats next take part in the Shark Invitational at PGA National, beginning on Monday, October 7.
