Wildcats Finish Sixth at USCB Sand Shark Invitational

-- The Johnson & Wales (Fla.) men's golf team placed sixth (308-296-306 910) at the USCB Sand Shark Invitational on Tuesday, March 3.

The 11-team, 65-player tournament, hosted by USCB, was held at the Oldfield Golf Club (7069 yards, par 72).

The Wildcats were led by Jens Bendiksen, who placed tied for 14th, shooting a 7-over 223 (74-73-76). Following Bendiksen on the individual leaderboard was Julius Boros, who shot an 11-over 227 (78-74-77). Rounding out the team scorers on the individual leaderboard were Matt Maloney (tied for 33th – 14-over), Jack Tharrington (36th – 15-over), and Gustav Tegel (tied for 48th – 23-over).

Playing as individuals were Jared Silva and George Berglund. Silva finished the tournament shooting an 18-over 234 (75-74-85) to place tied for 16th.

The Wildcats will next compete in the Battle at Primm on Monday, March 16.
