LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. (Sept. 2, 2018) – The Johnson & Wales men's soccer team (1-1-0) will take on the LSU Alexandria Generals (2-0-0) on Monday, September 3, in the final game for both teams at the Grizzly Soccer Classic hosted by Georgia Gwinnett College.
The Wildcats are coming off a 2-0 loss to No. 8-ranked Georgia Gwinnett on Saturday and will look to get back in the win column on Monday.

Admission: $5 for adults and $3 for senior citizens, military personnel with identification and children more than five years of age. Children under five years old receive free admission.
JWU suffered its first defeat of the season on Saturday, falling to the Grizzlies (2-1-1), 2-0. An early goal in the in the ninth minute and an insurance goal in the 54th minute were too much for the Wildcats to overcome resulting in the loss.
The Wildcats enter Monday's game averaging 6.5 goals-per-game (No. 2 in the nation) and 6.0 assists-per-contest (No. 2 in the nation). JWU has outscored the opposition, 13-2, this season while recording a 30-6 shots-on-goal advantage in 2018. Seniors Valentin Salinas and Patricio Rolon lead the Wildcats in scoring with six points apiece. Salinas (2g, 1a) is one of three Wildcats with multiple goals the season while Rolon (1g, 4a) leads the team in assists and ranks No. 1 in the nation in assists-per-game (2.00).
Series History: Monday will mark the first meeting between JWU and LSUA.
Familiar Face: Senior Arthur Mesquita is no stranger to LSU Alexandria. The native of Sao Paulo, Brazil played for the Generals during the 2014 season (as a freshman), appearing in 18 matches (12 starts) with three goals and three assists for nine points.
A Look at LSUA: The Generals are off to the program's best start (2-0) following a 1-0 win over Dalton State on Saturday. A 72nd-minute penalty kick goal (Luiz Petribu) proved to be the difference in the contest. LSUA has outscored its opponents, 3-1, through its first two games of the season with three different Generals finding the back of the net.
