Franco Molina Named Sun Conference Offensive Player of the Week

TAMPA, Fla. (November 11, 2019) -- Junior Franco Molina has been named the Sun Conference Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending November 10 the league announced on Monday.

Molina had a hand in both goals for Johnson & Wales (Fla.) as the Wildcats defeated the Thomas Night Hawks in the Sun Conference Quarterfinals on Saturday, 2-1. The native of Buenos Aires, Argentina, scored his first goal of the season to give JWU a 1-0 lead. He then assisted on the eventual game-winning goal for his second assist of the season. On the year, Molina has registered one goal and two assists for four points. His play resulted in the Wildcats advancing to the TSC Semifinals for the second-straight year.

The weekly award is the first of Molina's career.
