NORTH MIAMI, Fla. (Jan. 19, 2019)
– The Johnson & Wales (Fla.) women's basketball team (6-13, 3-8 TSC) fell to the Coastal Georgia Mariners (13-7, 7-4 TSC), 80-66, on Saturday afternoon from the Wildcat Center.

The Wildcats were led by sophomore Tianna Ayulo, who posted 21 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for her eighth double-double of the season. The native of Hollywood, Florida, shot 7-of-14 from the floor and was 4-of-6 from the free-throw line for her 12th 20-point out of the 2018-19 campaign. Freshman Jordan McDuffie added 15 points on 6-of-15 shooting while both senior JoNae Gonzales-Smith and freshman Carol Hadnot contributed 12 points apiece.

JWU ended the night, shooting 31.5 percent from the floor (23-of-73) and was 10-of-28 from 3-point range (35.7 percent). The Wildcats were 10-of-14 from the free-throw line (71.4 percent). CCG converted 42.4 percent of its shots from the floor (28-of-66) and was 7-of-14 from long range (50.0 percent). The Mariners finished the game shooting 68.0 percent from the charity stripe (17-of-25).

The Mariners held a 51-45 edge in rebounding while the Wildcats had a 16-14 advantage on the offensive glass.

JWU will travel to Ave Maria, Florida, to take on the Gyrenes on Thursday, January 24. Game time is slated for 5:30 p.m.
