KANSAS CITY, Mo. (March 19, 2020) – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced the 2020 Division II Women's Basketball All-America teams on Thursday
which included Johnson & Wales (Fla.) junior Tianna Ayulo.
Ayulo, an NAIA All-America honorable mention selection, led JWU to the program's first Sun Conference title, averaging 29.3 points-per-game and 11.0 rebounds-per-contest while shooting 66.0 percent from the floor. She also registered 14 assists and seven steals in the three tournament games. Her 32-point performance versus Webber International on Saturday, February 29 propelled the Wildcats the league crown and the program's first appearance in the NAIA National Tournament. For her play, Ayulo was named the Sun Conference Tournament MVP. A First-Team All-TSC selection, Ayulo averaged 18.7 points-per-game (No. 2 in the conference and No. 14 in the nation) and 7.9 rebounds-per-contest (No. 9 in the conference). Her 542 total points (No. 19 in the nation) were the most by a Wildcat in school history. Ayulo scored in double-figures in all but four game and reached the 20-point plateau 14 times. She also scored 30-or-more points two times, including a career-high-tying 32 points in the TSC Championship Game.
