2019 Women's Golf Fall Schedule (PDF)
NORTH MIAMI, Fla. (July 10, 2019) – Head Coach Chris Grace announced the Johnson & Wales women's golf fall schedule on Wednesday which features four tournaments, including the Dave Adamonis Sr. Invitational at Trump National Doral – JWU's annual home event.
The Wildcats begin the fall with the Keiser Kup (Sept. 8-10). The event will take place at PGA National's Palmer Course. Named after its designer, Arnold Palmer, this course is one of the more forgiving at PGA National Resort from tee to fairway, known as a risk/reward game.
A week later, JWU will travel to Okatie, South Carolina, for the Sand Shark Invitational (Sept. 16-17). The tournament will be held at USCB's home course (Oldfield Golf Club). The 18-hole course was designed by golf legend Greg Norman and winds through canopies of moss-draped live oak trees, broad savannas and soaring pines along the Okatie River.
The Wildcats open up the month of October at the Thomas University Fall Invitational (Oct. 6-8). Held at the Kinderlou Forest Golf Club in Valdosta, Georgia, last year's event was shortened due to Hurricane Michael.
To wrap up their fall schedule, the Wildcats will host the Dave Adamonis Sr. Invitational (Oct. 28-29) from Trump National Doral's Golden Palm Course. Gil Hanse's team redesigned this course with special attention to detail, incorporating a true links-style course with wide-open vistas and unique style bunkers. The course features similar design elements as the famous Blue Monster with heavily contoured greens. Each bunker is surrounded by heavy rough which creates an element of difficulty for the avid golf member.
