Women’s Golf Finishes Fourth at Sand Shark Invite; Patrow Places Fifth

OKATIE, S.C. (September 17, 2019)
– The Johnson & Wales (Fla.) women's golf team (311-309-309, 929) finished fourth at this year's Sand Shark Invitational hosted by USCB.

The two-day, three-round tournament was held at the Oldfield Country Club (5,887 yards, par 72), featuring 11 teams, including eight teams from The Sun Conference and six teams ranked in the NAIA Preseason Top 25.

Lead the Wildcats was freshman Olivia Patrow, who carded an 8-over 224 (73-76-75) to finish tied for fifth among the field of 69. Following Patrow on the leaderboard was Madyson Moy (+12), who placed tied for 12th with a 228 (76-74-78). Sophomore Georgia Page (+13) ended the tournament tied for 15 followed by Samantha Cornelius (+32) at tied for 45th.

JWU next take part in the Thomas Fall Invitational beginning Sunday, October 6, from Kinderlou Forest Club in Valdosta, Georgia.
