The Wildcats are coming off a 6-2 win at Life (Ga.) on Tuesday. Just one week removed from setting the school record for goals in a single game, junior Savannah Jackson set a new mark, scoring five goals versus the Eagles.

Falling behind after a goal by the Eagles in the 24th minute, JWU got on the board following Jackson's first score of the game. The native of Winter Park, Florida, tallied the 50th goal of her JWU career with a strike in the 34th minute. The score was set up by junior Lizzy Madril, who was credited with her second assist of the season.

The first-half scoring wasn't done as Jackson netted her second score of the game in the 45th minute to give JWU a 2-1 lead, heading into halftime. Junior forward Jasmine Blindt was credited with her first Wildcat assist on the goal.

The Wildcats continued to find the back of the net in the second half, beginning with Jackson's third goal of the game in the 58th minute. The school's all-time leading scorer registered her second hat trick of the season and seventh of her JWU career with what would prove to be the eventual game-winning goal (16th of her career). Blindt claimed her second assist of the game on the score as JWU took a 3-1 lead.

Life answered with Sarah Slingluff's second goal of the game in the 65th minute. However, sophomore Brianna Pineiro registered the first goal of her Wildcat career in the 71st minute as JWU extended its lead 4-2. Senior Sawyer Hall collected her first assist of the year on the goal.

Jackson made the score 5-2 with her record-tying fourth goal of the game in the 75th minute. Entering the game as the nation's leading scorer (4.00 goals-per-game), Jackson matched her season average on an assist by freshman Brazil Clark. For Clark it was the second assist in as many games for the first-year Wildcat.

Six minutes later, the Wildcat forward made history, scoring her fifth goal of the game with a score in the 81st minute. The goal by Jackson made the score 6-2; a result that eventually become a final an improved JWU to 2-0-0 on the year.

Despite a slow start, JWU out-shot the Eagles, 18-10, led by Jackson's 11 total shots in the game. The Wildcats also held a 12-4 edge in shots on goal, including a team-high 10 by Jackson.

Freshman Denise Mendoza (2-0-0) picked up her second-straight victory, allowing two goals while making two saves in 90 minutes of action.

With the win, JWU improved to 2-0-0 all-time versus Life (Ga.).
