It took only 29 minutes into the team's 11th game of the season but the JWU record for goals in a single season fell on Saturday as junior Savannah Jackson, netted three in a 3-0 win over Webber International (4-5-1, 1-5-0 TSC).

Jackson's hat trick – her eighth of the season and 12th of her career – guided JWU (9-2-0, 4-1-0 TSC) to its fourth-straight home victory.

Her first goal came in the 13th minute after junior Jasmine Blindt connected with the native of Winter Haven, Florida, who streaked down the field and beat goalkeeper Cameron Laine. The goal tied Jackson for JWU's single-season scoring record which she set last season, marking her 28th of the year. Blindt was credited with her fourth assist of 2019.

Jackson set the school record in the 29th minute to give JWU a 2-0 lead. Freshman Versailles Clark intercepted a Warrior pass found Jackson, who slipped past the WIU defense. Clark earned the first assist of her JWU career on the goal.

Jackson completed the trifecta in the 47th minute, scoring her nation-leading 30th goal of the season. Junior Ashlyn Hannus, earned her second assist of the year with a pass to Jackson who took the ball into the WIU area and slotted a shot past backup goalkeeper Natalie Bartek.

Freshman goalkeeper Denise Mendoza (9-2-0) recorded her fifth shutout of the season, recording a career-high 11 saves versus the Warriors.

WIU out-shot the Wildcats, 23-14 and geld a 11-5 edge in shots on goal despite being shut out for the third-straight match.
