Volleyball Suffers 3-0 Loss at Southeastern

LAKELAND, Fla. (September 28, 2019)
– The Johnson & Wales (Fla.) volleyball team (3-9, 0-5 TSC) suffered a 3-0 (25-14, 25-17, 25-21) loss at Southeastern (9-5, 2-3 TSC) on Saturday afternoon.

The Wildcats were led by Sharell Nairn, who posted a season-high 19 kills to go along with 17 digs for her sixth double-double of the year. Sophomore Vanessa Orozco tallied a 23 assists while junior Bianca Torres notched a game-high 20 digs. Also reaching in double-figures in digs was freshman Desiree Birriel, who registered 13 versus the Fire.

With the loss, JWU dropped to 0-5 in conference action and 0-7 all-time versus SEU.  

JWU will return to on Tuesday, October 1, taking on Florida National in Hialeah, Florida. Game time is set for 6:00 p.m.
