NORTH MIAMI, Fla. (October 8, 2019) – The Johnson & Wales (Fla.) volleyball team (4-11, 0-7 TSC) will will travel to Lake Wales, Florida, to take the Warner Royals (4-8, 2-5 TSC) on Wednesday, October 9. Game time from the Turner Athletic Center is set for 7:00 p.m.
This game is a rescheduled contest from back on September 7 (Hurricane Dorian).
The Wildcats are coming off a 3-0 loss at Coastal Georgia on Saturday, October 5.
Sophomore Vanessa Orozco became the first player in JWU history to record 1,000 career assists, recording 17 versus the Mariners to increase her career total to 1,013.
Senior Sharell Nairn led all Wildcats with 12 kills on 40 total attempts. The native of Miami, Florida, also registered a team-high 14 digs for her ninth double-double of the season.
The Wildcats ended the match with 19 total kills and 15 errors on 91 attempts (.044) while the Mariners recorded 38 kills and 13 errors on 89 total attempts (.281). CCG held a 53-34 edge in total digs and had 3.0 total team blocks.
