– The Johnson & Wales (Fla.) volleyball team (9-13, 2-8 TSC) fell to the Webber International Warriors (7-13, 3-8 TSC), 3-0 (25-20, 28-26, 25-19), on Saturday afternoon.

Senior Vitoria Nicolau led all Wildcats with 11 kills versus WIU. The native of Sao Paulo, Brazil, hit a team-best .242 in the match and also notched two service aces.

Freshman Desiree Birriel posted 12 assists in the match while junior Bianca Torres (16) and senior Sharell Nairn (11) reached double-digit in digs.

The Wildcats finished the match with 25 kills and 19 errors on 99 total attempts (.061) while WIU record 39 kills and 20 errors on 111 total attacks (.171). Both teams registered 49 digs in the match while the Warriors tallied 5.0 total team blocks to just 1.0 for JWU.

The Wildcats will travel to Miami Gardens, Florida, to take on the Florida Memorial Lions on Wednesday, October 23. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m.
